The goal sof this project focuses on the definition of the seismic action for different road bridges and overpasses in recently constructed in southern Spain. The seismic action is using the controlling earthquakes defined for different site-specific, hazard-consistent target motions. For controlling magnitudes and distances several acceleration time-histories correponding to real earthquake recordings are introduced in a dynamic calculation of the structural model. The structural response is examined in relation to its seismic capacity and fragility.
