The Congress “Meeting of the Americas” will take place in Cancun, México 14 - 17 de may. It will be organized by the AGU (American Geophysical Union). Belén Benito, Alicia Rivas and Yolanda Torres will attend The Congress, together whit other researchers from Costa Rica, Panamá, Mexico, Haiti, Italia, Cuba, Brasil, among others.

A total of 17 works related to the last Seismic hazard and risk researchs carried out in Central America and the Caribbean will be presented. 

The Group and members from the GEM (Global Earthquake Model) will lead a meeting aimed at identifing cooperative projects to be developed in the Caribbean area in collaboration with researchers from Latinamerican and Carribean countries.
